On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, the West Asian Football Federation signed a marketing partnership agreement with The PRO Company, which extends until 2024.
In the presence of HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, President of the West Asian Football Federation, Mr. Khalil Al-Salem, General Secretary of West Asian Football Federation, and Mr. Yousef Al-Khafaji, CEO of The PRO Company, signed the agreement that states that The PRO Company is the exclusive marketing partner for all WAFF championships. These championships encompass all men and women championships of various age groups, including electronic football tournaments and beach soccer tournaments.
The agreement includes marketing commercial rights for the West Asian Football Federation championships, including rights to marketing, sponsorship, advertising, media, photography and videography, digital rights, production, and television transmission.
During the occasion, Al-Salem expressed the West Asian Football Federation’s pride in signing the agreement with one of the leading marketing companies, pointing out that the agreement comes in conjunction with the federation’s strategy to attract a higher number of sponsors, market these championships to a wider audience, and increase the federations financial revenue streams; thus, supporting the federation’s main objective of continuously developing football within the region.
Al-Salem pointed out that this partnership is an extension of the close cooperation between the two parties. WAFF has previously appointed The PRO Company to work on several tournaments, such as the 2nd WAFF U18 Championship hosted by Iraq Football Association and the 8th WAFF U15 Boys Championship hosted by Saudi Arabia Football Federation at the end of 2021, and the 1st WAFF U14 Girls Championship hosted by Lebanon Football Association in early 2022.
In turn, Mr. Yousef Al-Khafaji conveyed the company’s happiness with this joint and renewed cooperation and mentioned that the West Asian Football Federation is one of the most active and competitive regional federations in the continent. The WAFF championships have reached a distinguished status at the Asian footballing level which in return was an important factor for signing this agreement.
